The first year of the TOOLS4CAP project

Balance sheet of the first year of the four-year coordination and support project.

The balance of the first year of the four-year coordination and support project for DG AGRI www.tools4.cap (2023-2026) was carried out on 30.1. until February 1, 2024 in Piraeus, Greece.

TOOLS4CAP has so far comprehensively mapped the available tools and methods used in the creation and implementation of the first generation of National Strategic Plans for the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU in all its member countries.

Currently, all these available tools are being evaluated in order to select those that are most relevant and can contribute positively to the process of preparing a new generation of National Strategic Plans, which will begin work in 2025.

We thus help the European Commission formulate new proposals for the next program period.

The output will also be a handbook ("cookbook") of best practices that will be tested. An important activity is also the organization of training for end users with the intention of building and strengthening capacities in the EU member states.

The overall ambition is to improve the transparency, relevance and addressability of the CAP Strategic Plans.
