Lecture titled Robotics Meets AI ― The Future is Now!
14.07.2025
On July 4, 2025, a lecture entitled Robotics Meets AI ― The Future is Now! was held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The lecture was led by Bruno Siciliano, who is a professor of robotics and control at the Federico II University of Naples and an honorary professor at the University of Óbuda. In his research activities, the professor focuses on the manipulation and control of robots, human-robot cooperation, and service robotics. He is the author of a number of scientific publications that are sought after in the field of robotics and teaching to obtain the necessary information. The invitation to the lecture was accepted by the teachers of the Faculty of Technology: doc. Ing. Vladimír Cviklovič, Phd., Ing. Patrik Kósa, PhD., Ing. Ladislav Tóth, PhD., and Ing. Lukáš Vacho, PhD.
The lecture offered valuable and up-to-date information on the direction of robotics in connection with artificial intelligence, and was beneficial from the point of view of scientific and research activities in various areas in which robotics is used. The lecture presented the transition to interactive technologies, which open up new possibilities in the field of robotic applications. Also of significant benefit is information on the introduction of fifth-generation communication technologies (5G) and cloud systems in robotics, which brings new possibilities for controlling robots at the human-machine level as well as flexible deployment of robots in operations. For scientific and research activities in the field of robotics in agricultural applications, the knowledge presented at the lecture is beneficial from the point of view of directing the development trends of automation in the agricultural sector.
