Meeting of MOVECO project partners at the Faculty of Engineering
by Ing. Ján Csillag
The second meeting of partners of the MOVECO project – Mobilising Institutional Learning for Better Exploitation of Research and Innovation for the Circular Economy – took place on 13 and 14 June 2017 at the Faculty of Engineering of the Slovak University of Agriculture (SUA) in Nitra. The project is solved within the Interreg – Danube Transnational Programme (DTP1- 1-349- 1.1) and addresses one of the greatest contemporary challenges – the implementation of circular economy based on a closed-loop flow of material and energy – taking into account the natural and human resources, science and technology. The aim of the project is to improve the framework conditions and policy instruments focused on eco-innovations and transition from linear to circular economy, the support of smart and sustainable growth and, last but not least, the reduction of differences between the regions in the Danube region.
Within the project meeting, the partners discussed the preparation of a mobile exhibition considering the circular economy, which will gradually be presented in Slovenia, Germany, Slovakia and Austria. Within the work package WP3 – EPR and Innovation, the partners presented the results of R&D activities mapping in their countries and a report on existing andupcoming strategic documents of partner countries aimed at the topic of circular economy. The partners discussed the methods for creating an international strategy and action plans for Danube region's circular economy at the end of the project meeting.
